Air Conditioning Cleaning

Air Conditioning services improve the overall efficiency of the unit.  In addition it will save you money on electricity bills, reduces the likelihood of breakdowns and increases the life of your air conditioning system. Above all, regular treatment of air conditioners helps to ensure that the air you’re breathing remains healthy – free of mould, mildew, fungi and bacteria.

Siv Air Cairns offers 3 levels of Air Conditioner cleaning on all makes and models of air conditioners: Basic, Hydro and Chemical Strip and Clean.  As a bonus, all Air Conditioners serviced by Siv Air will also receive a free treatment of Environmental Air Solutions.

Basic Service

$66 per unit (G.S.T. Inclusive)

  • Firstly we will check for the correct amount of refrigerant.
  • Then we will remove, clean and treat the return air filters.
  • We then inspect the drain and drain pan for blockages and clear as required.
  • Fan motors are checked for noise and overall performance.
  • The electric current draw of the unit (volts and amps) is tested for safe operation.
  • Finally we will treat the air conditioner with with an all natural tea tree product, designed to inhibit the regrowth of mould, mildew, bacteria and fungi.

Hydro Service

$140 for 1 Air Conditioner (G.S.T Inclusive)

$110 each for 2 or more Air Conditioning Services (G.S.T Inclusive)

  • Check for the correct amount of refrigerant.
  • Remove, clean and treat the air conditioner covers and filters with high pressure water and cleaning solution.
  • Clean the internal air conditioner components: barrel fan, evaporator coils, condensate drain pan, louvers and fan blades.
  • Check operation of fans for noise and overall performance.
  • Test the electric current draw of the unit (volts and amps) for safe operation.
  • Air Conditioner is treated with an all natural tea tree product, designed to inhibit the regrowth of mould, mildew, bacteria and fungi.

Benefits:- Cleans parts of an air conditioner unit not achievable by hand e.g. evaporator coil, barrel fan

Strip and Chemical Service

Individually quoted – Ideal for when you have an insect infestation such as ants or cockroaches in your air conditioner.

  • Firstly we will check for the correct amount of refrigerant.
  • We will then remove, clean and chemically treat the filters, barrel fan, evaporator coils, condensate drain pan, louvre and fan blades.
  • Check operation of fans for noise and overall performance.
  • The electric current draw of the (volts and amps) is tested for safe operation.
  • Air Conditioner is treated with an all natural tea tree product, designed to inhibit the regrowth of mould, mildew, bacteria and fungi.

Benefits:- Reduces wear and tear from corrosion reaching all internal parts of an air conditioner unit

Air Conditioning Supply and Installation

A qualified refrigeration technician will assess, diagnose and repair faulty air conditioning systems so that we can get your machine back up and running quickly at an optimum level.

Fujitsu believe in the quality and reliability of every air conditioner they sell.  This is why they are happy to provide a 5 year parts and labour warranty across their entire domestic range.

Siv Air is an official Fujitsu warranty agent.  This means that our customers can receive another level of assurance and that prompt and professional solutions are just a phone call away. 

Our staff undergo regular manufacture accredited training to make sure we are delivering great service to you.   If anything goes wrong its good to know that Siv Air has you covered.

Test and Tagging

According to the Electrical Safety Regulation 2013 (Qld), it is a requirement that all businesses regularly inspect and test specified electrical equipment and safety switches in the workplace.  The requirements for inspecting and testing differ depending on the type of work that is carried out with the electrical equipment.

Minimum Site Fee $100 (Includes up to 15 single phase appliance tests)

Additional Single Phase Appliance Tests – $6 each

Three-Phase Appliance Tests – $8 each

RCD Testing – $6 each

Plug Top Replacements – $30 each

Compliance Report – $10

The site fee is charged for all jobs located on different sites. $110 covers our onsite charges and the 1st 15 single phase tests carried out. Any additional items will be charged at the standard rates quoted above. If less than 20 tests are carried out, a flat rate of $110 will still be charged per site.
